Wanda C. (Ruzanski) Babcock

Wanda C. (Ruzanski) Babcock, 83, passed away on May 29, 2022 at Villa St. Francis nursing home in Olathe, KS.  She had moved to Kansas seven years ago to be closer to her daughter and family. 

Born in Coventry, RI, she was the oldest daughter of the late John A. and Celia (Plaziak) Ruzanski.  She lived in West Warwick, RI most of her life and was the wife of the late Richard H. Babcock, Sr.  She was preceded in death by her husband and her son, Richard H. Babcock, Jr.

She is survived by her loving daughter, Kathi Spachek and husband Bart of Lake Quivira, KS as well as her cherished granddaughter, Ava.  Her surviving siblings include:  John Ruzanski (Marjorie) of Coventry; Judith McGuire (the late Thomas) of Coventry; Paul Ruzanski (Stephanie) of Attleboro, MA; Helen Yanco (Richard) of Northboro, MA; and Ann Ruzanski (Art Sousa) of Spokane, WA.  She also leaves behind many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, June 18, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Czenstochowa Church, 445 Washington Street, Coventry.  Immediately followed by interment of ashes at St. Mary’s Cemetery in West Warwick, RI.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to Villa St. Francis nursing home in Olathe, KS (https://villasf.salsalabs.org/generalgiving/index.html) or to Catholic Community Hospice (https://catholiccommunityhospice.com/donations/).
