Theresa "Terrie" M. (Mederos) Nobriga

NOBRIGA, Theresa M. “Terrie” (Mederos), 86, of West Warwick, passed away Sunday, June 28, 2020 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

She was the wife of the late Manuel “Deacon” Nobriga.  Born in Providence, a daughter of the late Anthony C. and Mary (Oliver) Mederos.  She was a resident of West Warwick since 1961.

Following graduation from Hope High School in 1951, Terrie was employed with various insurance companies in Providence and West Warwick as a policy writer and clerk typist.  Later she was employed at the West Warwick Public Library and West Warwick Town Hall.  A communicant of St. Anthony Church, she was a member of the church’s choir and Holy Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the West Warwick Senior Center and the Coventry Senior Center and worked at the polling places during the elections for the West Warwick Board of Canvassers.  She was an avid bingo player, bowler and card player.

She is survived by a nephew, Anthony C. Mederos, Jr. of Bristol; a niece, Eileen Mederos of New Orleans, LA and a cousin, Frances Anderson of Warwick.  She was the sister of the late Merwin, Kenneth, Anthony and Marie Mederos and aunt of the late Gerald Mederos.

Committal prayer will be private at SS.
