Rosalie P. (Parente) Petrarca

Rosalie P. (Parente) Petrarca, 85, of West Warwick, passed away peacefully with her loving daughter by her side on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence.

She was the beloved wife of the late Edward H. Petrarca.  Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Cosimo and Dora (Peretti) Parente. 

Rosalie was the secretary and office manager of Forest Hills Nurseries, Inc. for forty-seven years before retiring in 2009.  She was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, loved shopping and had a great sense of style.

She is the loving and devoted mother of Doreen A. Pilozzi and her husband Thomas R.; caring sister of Angela Gonsalves (Kenneth) and Patricia Paolucci (James); proud Godmother of James Paolucci, Jr. and Karla Healey.  She also leaves many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; two step-grandchildren, Larissa Tedesco (Anthony) and Thomas M. Pilozzi (Rivanilda); two great grandchildren, Gianna and Isabella Tedesco and two sisters-in-law, G. Beverly Parente and Nancy Parente. She was the sister of the late Jennie Pera, Lena Siniscalchi, Anthony Parente, William Parente and Frank Parente, Battalion Chief WWFD (Ret.).

Her funeral will be held Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 9:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence St., West Warwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours Monday 4:00-7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to HopeHealth Hospice & Palliative Care, 1085 North Main Street, Providence, RI 02904 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
