Robert "Bobby" Oliver, Jr.

Robert "Bobby" Oliver, Jr., 76, of Coventry, formerly of Glocester, passed away peacefully on Friday, June 5, 2026, at Kent Hospital.

Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Robert and Martha (Nobre) Oliver. Bobby spent many years living in Glocester before making his home in Coventry.

A respected land surveyor for more than forty years, Bobby was the proprietor of Oliver Survey in Glocester, where he built a reputation for hard work, professionalism, and integrity before his retirement. He also proudly served his country as a member of the Rhode Island Army National Guard.

Bobby was known for his generous spirit, adventurous nature, and love of the outdoors. He embraced life with enthusiasm, enjoying hiking, camping, canoeing, and white-water rafting. Among his many adventures, he fondly recalled skiing down a mountain in Austria. He also found joy in music, movies, coloring, and challenging family and friends to a game of chess.

One of Bobby's proudest accomplishments was building a beautiful post-and-beam home in Glocester alongside his former wife, Donna K. Oliver. Their shared vision and hard work created a place filled with lasting memories.

Above all, Bobby will be remembered for his positive outlook on life. When asked how he was doing, his familiar response was always, "Never Better." That simple phrase reflected the optimism, resilience, and gratitude that defined him throughout his life.

Besides his former wife, Donna, he leaves his loving siblings, Barbara M. Joyal and her husband, Robert; Diane M. Regan and her husband, Kevin; and John F. Oliver. He is also survived by four cherished nephews and a niece; six great nieces and five great nephews. He was the brother of the late Michael Oliver.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, JUNE 19, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick. Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
