Rita Doris (Coutu) Cabral-Trier

Rita D. (Coutu) Cabral-Trier, 92, of Coventry, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 1, 2022 at the Respiratory & Rehabilitation Center of RI.

She was the wife of the late James J. Trier and the late Justin R. Cabral.  Born in West Warwick, a daughter of the late Victor and Yvonne (Corriveau) Coutu.  She was a lifelong resident of the Pawtuxet Valley area.

Rita was employed as an engineering aide at Cherry Semiconductor in East Greenwich for twenty-three years before retiring in 1995.  She was a communicant of SS. John & Paul Church.  Rita enjoyed making jigsaw puzzles, and loved spending time with her family.

She is survived by two daughters, Joanne Hendricks and her husband Reuben of Coventry and Deborah Gourd and her husband Alan of Warwick; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.  She was the mother of the late Robert D. Cabral and sister of the late Constance Lacombe.

Her funeral services and interment will be private.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the Coventry Community Food Bank, 1372 Main Street, Coventry, RI 02816 in Rita’s memory would be appreciated.  Arrangements with HENAULT-GALLOGLY Funeral Home.
