Paul E. Maynard

MAYNARD, Paul E., 79, of Hoover Street, West Warwick, passed away Sunday morning, November 28, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at the Greenwood Center, Warwick.

He was the beloved husband of the late Sheila K. (King) Maynard, they had been married for thirty five years upon her passing this past July.  Born in West Warwick, a son of the late Lucien and Arthurette (Fontaine) Maynard.  He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Paul worked as a draftsman for Electric Boat in Groton for 33 years before retiring and then was employed by Centreville Bank as a courier for 10 years. Paul was a member of Club Frontenac for many years. He was very involved with the Pawtuxet Valley Men’s Semi-Fast Pitch Softball League and he later coached his kid’s softball teams in West Warwick for many years. Paul was an avid Boston Red Sox and New England Patriots fan and he had season tickets for PC Basketball for over 3 decades. Paul enjoyed spending time with his wife and friends at Bonnet Shores Beach Club, being a spectator at his grandchildren’s sporting events, he loved listening to music with good friends, spending time with family and making others happy with sharing his great sense of humor and kindness.

He is survived by two daughters, Lyanne Perras and her husband Michael and Michelle Maynard and her husband James Weber; a step-daughter, Tamara A. (Casimiro) Paulo and her husband Daniel and six grandchildren, Cody and Coltin Perras, Sienna Weber, Tanner, Teagan and Tristan Paulo. Paul will be deeply missed by his many friends and family.

His funeral will be held Friday, December 3, 2021 at 9:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.
