Michael J. Mota

Michael J. Mota, 41, of Springfield, Maine, formerly of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday evening, April 30, 2022.  

Born December 29, 1980 in Warwick to the late Manuel T. and Maria “Gloria” (Torres) Mota.

Later in life Michael moved to Maine which inspired him to become a firm believer in green living which included tending to his garden and caring for his various farm animals.  He spent most days chasing sunsets on his four wheeler.

Michael was a booking agent for an international hotel chain by day and by night he had a passion for cooking all the Portuguese recipes he grew up on.

Michael was predeceased by his fiancé Dawn Dlugosz.  He is survived by his brother Manny Mota and two sisters Nellie Medeiros and Lucy Martins and their spouses. As well as his two nieces Cassandra Medeiros and Carissa Martins and two nephews Alec Medeiros and the late Austin Martins. 

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, May 10, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Anthony Church, Sunset Avenue, West Warwick.  Burial will be private.  Visiting hours are respectfully omitted.
