Michael F. Maznicki

MAZNICKI, Michael F., 74, of West Warwick, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, January 7, 2021 at home.

He was the beloved husband of Joyce A. (Jalette) Maznicki, they had been married for forty-one years. Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Frank “Monk” and Frances (Forys) Maznicki. He was a lifelong resident of West Warwick.

Mr. Maznicki was in the banking industry for many years until retiring. In 1968 he graduated from Brown University, where he was a three-sport athlete then served in the Army during the Vietnam War era. He played with various semi-fast pitch softball teams for many years and was inducted into the West Warwick Wizards Hall of Fame. An avid golfer, Mike was a longtime member of West Warwick Country Club and Cranston Country Club. His greatest enjoyment was derived from attending all of his grandchildren’s sporting and social events, they were the center of his life.

Besides his wife he leaves a son, Stony Maznicki, Det. WWPD and his wife Susan; a sister, Cheryl F. Drozdz and her husband Ted and two grandchildren, Dominik and Maci Maznicki.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 10:00 am in St. Joseph Church, 854 Providence Street, West Warwick (all COVID -19 guidelines will be observed). Due to the pandemic visitation and interment with military honors will be private.
