Henry L. Vanasse

VANASSE, Henry L., 86, of West Warwick, passed away Tuesday afternoon, January 12, 2021 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

He was the beloved husband of the late Pauline E. (Belleville) Vanasse.  Born in Moosup, CT, a son of the late Henry J. and Germaine (DeMuth) Vanasse.  He resided in West Warwick for most of his life.

Mr. Vanasse was employed at Stanley Bostitch for forty years before retiring as Shipping Manager in 1996.  He was an active communicant of Christ the King Church and was a 3rd Order Carmelite.  He served in the US Army from 1957-1959. He was an avid Red Sox fan and enjoyed golfing. Henry was a man of deep faith and family values. A gentle, quiet soul cherishing the special occasions, vacations and holidays spent together with family and friends.

He is survived by two sons, Michael H. Vanasse of North Kingstown and Gregory T. Vanasse of South Kingstown; two daughters, Renee L. Warila of Exeter and Claudine M. Curran of Lexington, North Carolina; a brother, Philip J. Vanasse of Warwick and seven grandchildren, Laura and Elizabeth Vanasse, Tyler Vanasse, Emily and Stephanie Warila and Caitlyn and Joseph Curran.  He was the brother of the late Thomas P. Vanasse.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 from 9:30-10:00 am in SS. John and James Church, 20 Washington Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am (all COVID-19 State Guidelines will be observed).  Due to the pandemic regulations the interment will be private for the family.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to St. Elias Lay Carmelite Office, P.O. Box 3079, Middletown, NY 10940 in his memory would be appreciated.
