DiCHRISTOFARO, George F., 72, of Wakefield, formerly of West Warwick, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning, January 12, 2021 surrounded by his loving family at home after a long battle with Parkinson’s Disease that was diagnosed in 2014.
He was the beloved husband of Mary Ann (Natale) DiChristofaro, they had been married for fifty years. Born in Providence, a son of the late Ferdinand and Sarah A. (Graham) DiChristofaro. He was a resident of West Warwick for many years before moving to Wakefield in 2010.
George was the National Sales Manager at Balfour for many years before opening his own business, manufacturing emblematic jewelry and retiring in 2014. He served in the US Army from 1967-1970 during the Vietnam War era, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and golfing.
Besides his wife he leaves two children, Michael F. DiChristofaro and his wife Ana of Attleboro, MA and Mary Macari and her husband Jeffrey of North Kingstown, RI; two grandchildren, Joseph and Morgan Macari and his siblings, Sarah Comella, Kathy Roch, David DiChristofaro, Martha Barry, Abigail Higgins, and Christine Proulx. He was the brother of the late James DiChristofaro.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at 11:30 am in St. Gregory the Great Church, 360 Cowesett Road, Warwick (all State COVID-19 guidelines will be observed).
