PAGLIARINI, Alexander S., 84, formerly of Terrace Avenue, Coventry, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday evening, April 28, 2021 at St. Elizabeth Home, East Greenwich.
He was the beloved husband of the late Etta J. (Petrocelli) Pagliarini, to whom he was married for 62 years upon her passing in 2019. Born in Providence, a son of the late Alexander C. and Santina A. (Uccello) Pagliarini.
Mr. Pagliarini was the proprietor of the family’s restaurant, Pagliarini’s Pizza in East Greenwich for many years. He was also employed at the Benny’s in Coventry for seventeen years before retiring. He was a Korean War Army Veteran, an avid New York Yankee’s fan, loved watching old western movies but most of all loved spending time with his grandsons and great grandchildren.
He is survived by a daughter, Ann Marie Paradis and her husband Arthur of Coventry; a son, David M. Pagliarini of Coventry; two grandsons, Jason Paradis and Steven Paradis and his wife Sarah; three great grandchildren, Ariana Grace, Jason Jr. and Michael and a sister, Carolyn L. Petrarca of Warwick.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 4, 2021 from 8:30-9:30 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick. Interment with military honors will be in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.
