Therese H. (Vadeboncoeur) Golombek

GOLOMBEK, Therese H. (Vadeboncoeur), 92, formerly of Doris Street, Coventry, passed away peacefully Friday morning, September 27, 2019 at Woodpecker Hill Nursing Home, Greene.

She was the beloved wife of the late Alexander V. Golombek who passed away in 1973.  Born in West Warwick, she was a daughter of the late Ovide and Orise (Jalbert) Vadeboncoeur.  She was a lifelong resident of the Pawtuxet Valley area.

Mrs. Golombek was employed with BIF Industries in West Warwick for thirty-three years before retiring as a supervisor in 1988.  She was a communicant of St. Vincent DePaul Church and enjoyed gardening.

She is survived by a brother, Rene O. Vadeboncoeur of Greene and several nieces and nephews.  She was the sister of the late Eudore Vadeboncoeur, Eugene Verboncoeur, Maurice Verboncoeur, Gerard Verboncoeur, Simone Brodeur, Gertrude DiMasi, Germaine King and Lucien Picillo.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, October 1, 2019 at 10:00 am in St. Vincent de Paul Church, St. Vincent de Paul Street, Coventry.  Interment will follow in St. Mary Cemetery, West Warwick.  Visiting hours and flowers are respectfully omitted.
