Laurence E. Ballou, Jr.

Laurence E. “Larry” Ballou, Jr., 94, of West Warwick, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018 at Kent Hospital, Warwick.

He was the husband of the late Ann (Grenga) Ballou.  Born in Providence, he was the son of the late Laurence E. Ballou, Sr. and Marie I. (Gervais) Ballou.  He resided in Warwick before moving to West Warwick.

Mr. Ballou was a maintenance man with the Warwick Housing Authority for many years before retiring.  He was a World War II Army Veteran, an avid cribbage player who played in many tournaments, a member of the American Legion and enjoyed building furniture.

He is survived by a daughter, Kathleen A. Spencer of Ashfiled, MA and Florida; a step-daughter, MaryAnn Duggan of Warwick; a step-son, Ernest Savastano of Jamestown; five grandchildren, Lindsey Spencer, Seth Spencer, Michael Duggan, Michael and Nicholas Savastano and seven great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Florence McGowen and Dorothy Jenkins.

Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
