Joseph Iafrate

IAFRATE, Joseph, 93, of North Kingstown formerly of Warwick, passed away Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018 at Cedar Crest Nursing Centre, Cranston.  

He was the beloved husband of the late Rita D. (Garofalo) Iafrate.  Born in Providence, he was a son of the late Loreto and Rosalie (Feta) Iafrate.  He resided in Warwick from 1983-2016 before moving to North Kingstown.

Mr. Iafrate was a silver roller at Gorham Manufacturing Co. for forty five years before retiring.  He was a proud WWII Marine Corps Veteran.

He is survived by two daughters, Loretta A. Neill of North Kingstown and Linda A. Tedesco of Cranston; a son, Joseph M. Iafrate of Malone, FL; four granddaughters and five great grandchildren.  He was the brother of the late Sabatina Martin, Mary Montaquila, Frank and Anthony Iafrate.

His funeral will be held Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 8:00 am from the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:00 am in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence St., West Warwick.  Interment will follow with military honors in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  Visiting hours Monday 4:00-7:00 pm.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to the RI Community Food Bank, 200 Niantic Ave., Providence, RI 02907 in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
