Jennie V. (Deady) Austin

AUSTIN, Jennie V. (Deady), 89, of Town Hall Road, West Greenwich, passed away Thursday, February 21, 2019 at Coventry Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.     

She was the wife of the late Roy A. Austin.  Born in Warwick, she was the daughter of the late John F. and Jennie (Cosgrove) Deady.  She resided in West Greenwich since 1961.                                

Mrs. Austin enjoyed spending time with her family and hosting gatherings at her home, especially the annual Fourth of July traditions. She also enjoyed shopping, cooking, traveling and playing Bingo.

She is survived by six daughters, Carol Remington of Samson, AL, Debra Lima and her companion Henry Wright of Exeter, Sandra Piche of Greene, Sharon Austin and her companion Mike Mattress of Coventry, Lori Earley of Samson, AL and Janet Mattress and her husband Keith of Elba AL; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren.  She was the sister of the late Thomas, John and Raymond Deady.

Visitation will be held Wednesday, February 27, 2019 from 9:00-10:00 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 10:00 am.  Interment will follow in RI Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers, contributions to Walk to End Alzheimer’s - RI Chapter, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences, please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
