HOOD, Gloria Jenny (Masciarotte), known to everyone as Gogo, age 86, passed away Saturday, February 24 at Kent Hospital after a brief illness.
Born September 5, 1931 in West Warwick to the late Rose (Urgolo) and Anthony Masciarotte. She was the wife of the late Lloyd E. Hood and the mother of the late Lloyd “Skip” Hood.
She is survived by her daughter, Ann Hood and her husband Michael Ruhlman; her grandchildren Melissa and her husband Andy Goldberg, Sam, and Annabelle; her great-grandchildren Delila and Gus; her sister, June Caycedo and dozens of nieces and nephews. Her granddaughter Grace preceded her in death and she was the sister of the late Joseph, Anthony, Alfred, Connie Ianotti, Emma Grande, Rose Solitro, Angie Padula, and Ann-Marie Soucy.
Gogo was loved for her meatballs, her honesty, and her big generous heart.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Committal Service on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 9:30 am in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 301 South Country Trail, Exeter (gathering will commence at 9:15 am at the cemetery entrance parking lot).
