Dorothy M. (Goguen) Winward

WINWARD, Dorothy M. (Goguen), 89, a resident of Hope for most of her life, passed away Monday, July 16, 2018 at the West Shore Nursing Center, Warwick.

She was the beloved wife of the late John E. Winward.  Born in Gardner, MA, she was the daughter of the late Tilman and Laura (Bass) Goguen.

Mrs. Winward was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Hope-Jackson Fire Department and the West Warwick AARP Chapter 2210.  She enjoyed golfing and when her husband was alive they loved to bowl.

She is survived by four sons, John T. Winward and his wife Julie, Jason W. Winward and his wife Christine, Jeffrey A. Winward and Jody T. Winward; a daughter, Jacqueline G. Volatile and her husband Roger; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Thursday, July 19, 2018 from 9:30-10:30 am in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a funeral home service at 10:30 am.  Interment with be in Rhode Island Veterans Cemetery, Exeter.  In lieu of flowers contributions to the Alzheimer’s Association, RI Chapter, 245 Waterman Street, Suite 306, Providence, RI 02906 in her memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
