Armando Ruzzo

RUZZO, Armando, 91, of Tower Road, West Warwick, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family at home on Thursday evening, July 11, 2019.

He was the beloved husband of the late Domenica (Petrarca) Ruzzo, who passed away in 2003.  Born in Fornelli, Italy, he was the son of the late Felicio and Elisabetta (Padula) Ruzzo.

Mr. Ruzzo was employed by the State of Rhode Island with the Eleanor Slater Hospital for thirty five years until retiring in 2008.  His most enjoyable time spent was with family and he loved to garden and make homemade wine.  He was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church.

He is survived by his three devoted daughters, Annamaria Billias and her husband Dennis of Westerly, Rosanna Furtado and her husband John of East Greenwich and Franca V. Corvese and her husband Kenneth of West Warwick; six grandchildren; a great granddaughter and three siblings, Ernesto Ruzzo in Switzerland, Luigi and Emma Ruzzo both in Fornelli.  He was the brother of the late Amelia, Antoinetta and Maria Ruzzo.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 16, 2019 from 8:00-9:15 a.m. in the PRATA-GALLOGLY Funeral Home, 78 Providence Street, West Warwick followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Church, 820 Providence Street, West Warwick.  Entombment will be in Our Risen Christ Garden Mausoleum at St. Ann Cemetery, Cranston.  In lieu of flowers contributions to VNA Care New England Hospice, 51 Health Lane, Warwick, RI 02886 in his memory would be appreciated.  Information and condolences please visit: www.PrataGallogly.com
