BARRETO, Antonio W., 79, of Main St., West Warwick, passed away Monday, October 29, 2018 at Kent Hospital surrounded by his loving family.
He was the beloved husband of the late Maria A. (Silva) Barreto. Born in Soca, Uruguay, he was the son of the late Juan and Angelica (Fernandez) Barreto.
Mr. Barreto, known more as Papa or Tatito, was a dye house operator in the textile industry for many years before retiring. He loved all sports, but mostly watching his home team Nacional play soccer and more recently watching his Red Sox win another World Series the night before. Which made him very happy!
He is survived by a son, Anthony Barreto and his companion Angela Calderon of West Warwick; a daughter, Jessi Barreto and her husband Michael Beaudette of Coventry; a sister, Maria Margarita Barreto Fernandez of Uruguay; four grandchildren, Alex Bourque, Mason Barreto, Eddy Perez and Evan Perez and a great grandson, Cayden Fratus. He was the brother of the late Manuel Barreto.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 at 10:00 am in Our Lady Good Counsel Church, 62 Pleasant Street, West Warwick.
